Why Cat

Need Raw Diet

These days, an increasing number of veterinarians, including myself, are starting to support the feeding of wet food (e.g. raw diet) instead of the commercial dry kibble, to your pet

THREE MAIN UNDESIRABLE PROBLEM WITH THE DRY KIBBLE

As mentioned, dry kibble is very heavily processed, and includes being exposed to high temperature causing alteration & Loss of nutrients. Additionally, dry kibble is usually contaminated with Fungal mycotoxins, bacteria, storage pest & etc.

Beware that dry kibbles that are not refrigerated & store in
warm warehouse, petstore shelves or your cupboard for a long period of time before use can cause rancid fats & bacteria will also thrive in these conditions

I have heard so many cat owners said their cats are fine with dry kibble & that actually saddened me as I believe in preventative nutrition. I have seen many cases where the medical problem that could have been avoided if the owners feed their cats a species-Appropriate diet to begin with.

NEED TO KNOW FOR CATS’ PARENTS

1. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN

PLANT BASED PROTEIN

VS

ANIMAL BASED PROTEIN

2. TOO MANY CARBOHYDRATES FOR CAT

Dry food usually contains 35-50% calories from carbohydrates. Some are even higher & this is too much for our cat. Many companies have started to use the term “grain free” in their products but they just substitute the grain with other high carbohydrates ingredients like potatoes & peas. In the wild, your cat would consume their preys & only about 1-2% called amylase

CATS HAVE No DIETARY need For carbohydrates and too much is harmful to their health (see section common feline health associated with diet)

The reasons that we are still feeding our cat with dry kibble are Cheap, Convenient & Affordability. But we know that these food are not SPECIES APPROPRIATE for our cats

3. WATER

We know that cats naturally have low thirst drive and this can result in CHRONIC DEHYDRATION when they are only fed with dry kibble, especially if they have any level of KIDNEY PROBLEMS.
Based on our reaserch, cat on dry food consumes about 50% oF The AMOUNT OF WATER compared with cats on wet foods. We want our cat to have a water dense diet & more water is beneficial for your cat’s bladder & kidney health.
Note: SOY contains phytoestrogens & soy also adversely affect the thyroid gland of our cats. Cat should NOT consume dry food with soy as one of the main ingredients as it hyperthyroidism.
